Worry - Worry - Worry

Money or the lack there of is a source of worry for a great many people. It is most understandable that a person with no income except charity has good cause for worry about where the next meal with come from. The other side of the coin is that the wealthy also wind up worrying about money. They worry about losing it or some one stealing it.

How much is enough so that we have what we need to live but do not need to worry about money? Contentment with our life is to me a good goal. At a time when we had very little income we understood the value of tithing and giving to those in greater need. Charity, contentment, and clarity all come from recognizing that our life is a gift from God and that sharing it with God’s other children in love is the goal. Love God, love others, and love self in that order and money worries go away.

  1. The more we have the more we have to worry about! And the Bible is clear about worry.

Matthew 6:25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

  2. Indeed worry interferes with our relationship with God.
