Last Sunday on 60 Minutes I saw President Jimmy Carter interviewed about his new book "White House Diary" and was fasinated by his candor.
So I purchased the book and am now reading it. Mercy there was a lot we did not know about going on behind the scenes. I always thought that one of Carter's faults was that he was too honest with us. He was one of the most honest and frank presidents we ever had and as a people we didn't like to be told the truth.
I will let you know what I think about it after I have finished reading this thick heavy book.

I have often thought that Carter was vey misunderstood. I also remember he had perhaps the most noble intentions of any president.
ReplyDeleteI voted him out of office but absolutely admire him as an American Citizen.
He was also one of the worst presidents we ever had...
